Here at the Rose Ranch, our breeding program strives to produce foals with a good, strong hip; straight legs; beautiful heads and wonderful minds.  All of our horses are started right: ranch raised and arena worked, producing an all around horse that can work all day on the ranch as well as be outstanding performers in working cowhorse and timed events.

Our senior stallion, Docs Sugar Tucker, was 5 times Harney County Reined Stockhorse Futurity Champion Stallion. He puts both his mind and his athletic ability into his get, as does his son, Tuckers Blue Gizmo.

Prices for horses start at $1000 to $1500 for weanlings and go up from there, depending on training and potential.  Yearlings start at $1500 to $2500 and go up accordingly as they enter our training program. Any price quoted on any given horse is valid for that horse to that person for 15 days.  We also accept payments on approved credit -- please ask!

Most of our horses are bred, raised and trained to be competitive, working horses and many are winners in 4-H, breed shows, futurity events, high school rodeo competitions, open shows and in the rodeo arena.  Their quiet, gentle demeanors also make them excellent choices for ranches and families wanting a good, quality horse they can depend on for whatever job they need done.  People from 6 years old to 80 years old are competing on horses from us and winning.

The whole family at Rose Ranch and Rose Equine Facility, LLC gets into the game, from John Barry and his own "Tucker' colt, Docs Sugar San Peppy [aka Homer] who joined forces when they were 3 and 7years of age, respectively, on up to the parents and grandparents. They all ride Tucker babies or grandbabies with no worries or problems.
